COVID-19 RESPONSE

March 2022 Update

We continue to closely monitor the provincial guidance and recommendations as Nova Scotia implements the 3 Phase Re-opening Plan. We are also mindful of the recommendations from our professional regulatory bodies (Nova Scotia College of Social Workers and the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists) and our various contract agencies.

Our professional regulatory bodies have recommended that wherever we can and where it is in the best interest of the client to do so, that we continue to deliver services through telepractice (phone or video) in order to protect both our staff and the clients we serve. As such the move to in-person counselling will be done with an abundance of caution on a case by case basis in a dialogue between each client and their therapist.

We continue to serve our current clients and accept new referrals. We are thankful for the telecounselling technology, and even though it’s been an adjustment, it’s been very effective in meeting the needs of those we serve.
